Related French brands and projects also followed — specific cheese categories, French wine regions.

Bruce supports the Tulsa Opera and the Tulsa Sinfonia, United Way, Tulsa River Parks and Street School.

Since 2000 Chester has worked in the advertising field as a Web developer. Spanning three separate agencies, he has worked on everything from simple brochure sites to multi-lingual branded sites to rich, experiential multimedia sites. Before advertising, he tried out several different roles and industries including sales support at Apple Computer, Inc., Mac and Windows desktop support at a Motorola Semiconductor FAB in Austin, Texas, and was a teacher at a conversational English school in Japan.
Chester says that the interactive development team at AM is ran almost like a software development shop, which is a refreshing change from other advertising agencies. He thinks it helps to be creative in the way we tackle projects and believes it allows AM to be extremely productive.
Outside of work, he is a member of the North Texas Flying Club based at Collin County Regional Airport in McKinney, Texas, and he tries to attend meetings of a couple of regional technical user groups such as the North Dallas .NET Users Group and DFLEX.

Chris, a Senior Digital Developer, says there is something extremely rewarding about making applications come to life. Prior to AM, he gained experience in Print and Web Design, eLearning Framework Development and Mobile Application Usability.
In 2005 Chris signed a recording contract with HighRise/Warner Brothers Records. After several corporate shifts and new management at WBR, they halted the distribution deal including his contract. Making use of a web development skill set he cultivated while marketing his own music, Chris began a career in development and has been full time ever since.
Outside of work, he is interested in the production of Hip-hop Music, Digital Art, Community Organizing, Activism.
Christopher’s earliest memory from childhood is of his father as an avid Super 8 film shooter capturing many of the young family’s first moments on film. The ability to revisit that family and their adventures taught Christopher early on that cinema was a uniquely powerful way to capture and tell stories.
As that desire evolved with adulthood, he collaborated on a diverse range of productions including live broadcast, syndicated television, films, corporate video, music videos, digital signage and commercials. His love for unique visual narratives, experimental digital content and knack for conveying diverse moods combined with striking moving images eventually attracted the attention of Ackerman McQueen.
During his off time the creativity doesn’t stop. He continues to hone his craft with photography, short filmmaking and experimenting with new cutting edge video and interactive technologies that shape the future of how video is distributed and how the audience engages it.
Having garnered several Addy and Telly awards, the ability to grasp unrealized concepts and translate those ideas into engaging moving imagery has been the key to many successful projects for RadioShack, American Airlines, MonsterCable, Motorola, Pizza Hut and Doritos. Christopher strives to bring each production a unique and creative vision that yields a distinctive viewing experience for each client. This requires his investing his most creative self in the project, something forged and shaped since childhood.
Christy joined the agency after graduating from the University of Oklahoma and actually spending two years of her college career in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan. To say she is an avid OU fan is an understatement, though she does cheer on Michigan when they aren't playing OU.
Christy started in accounts payable and was promoted to controller after passing the CPA exam in 2001. She is currently the controller for media payables and Branded News Worldwide, Ackerman’s new online division and LLC.
Christy is an avid runner, OU and Yankees fan. She, her husband, Mark and daughter, Neely, are proud to call Oklahoma home. She is a member of the AICPA and OSCPA and is active in the Oklahoma Catholic Archdiocese Fund.

Sometimes knowing the right people gets you to the place you are today! Someone went searching for a News Producer, and they found Ericca Christy through her former supervisor at NBC 5 in DFW. She has spent 20 years in local news in several different award winning markets during her career.
Outside of AM, Ericca enjoy spending time with her husband Jim. Together they love spending time watching OU football, dining out with friends, and exploring their favorite city – Fort Worth.

Gail grew up in Bartlesville, Okla., attended the University of Kansas and received her BFA in graphic design from the Kansas City Art Institute in May of 1972. Immediately following graduation, she began work at the Oklahoma City office of then Ackerman Inc. on June 5, 1972, as a junior art director.
In her 42 years as a specialist in typography and photography art direction, Gail has worked on a diverse group of clients. In the early days, when Ackerman was just starting to grow, she worked on many local clients such as The Oil & Gas Journal, First of Tulsa, Sirloin Stockade, Star Metal Buildings, CMI Roto Mill, L&S Bearing, Continental Federal, Globe Life Insure and Midland Mortgage.
Many Addy Awards and Best of Show awards were won for Gail’s individual and group work on Nocona Boots, Resistol Hats, Food and Wine from France, as well as others. She was also named one of the ten best art directors in the Southwest in the early '80s.
Having studied graphic design, Gail really learned about advertising and marketing on the job. Angus McQueen and his father and past AM president, Marvin McQueen, brought Madison Avenue insight and standards to the small Ackerman agency that changed it forever. As a result, AM is a conclave of highly talented individuals with great work ethics that strive to give each client more than double the value for each dollar spent. Each day she sees the agency strive to live up to a statement Angus once made to the creative department when we were faced with an almost impossible assignment over a holiday weekend: “Let’s see how good we can be!” And we are good!
Over the years Gail has watched the agency’s efforts re-imagine and redefine a product or service, and have seen us transform others from dying old brands into industry leaders. It’s one of the things she loves best about working at Ackerman McQueen. Another is the highly talented, high-quality people that work here. They are a very diverse group in age, background, education and experience, but all make great contributions that the rest of us can admire.
Before coming to Ackerman McQueen in 2016, George had a long record in diverse industries including manufacturing, retail, mortgage banking, health insurance and marketing. Working as both a developer and in operations, he has developed high-level skills on many different SQL platforms in order to solve problems and facilitate smooth sailing conditions wherever he goes.
George enjoys driving around the country rock hounding, fiddling around with making music and looking into the future with binoculars.
George graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in molecular biology. After realizing that a lifetime in the lab was not the course he wanted to pursue, he obtained a degree in computer science from Texas State Technical College and has been working with computers ever since.
Formerly a broadcast journalist and news anchor in several southwestern cities, Ginny has produced acclaimed videos and highly profitable newsmagazines for corporations, trade associations and advocacy groups. Her pioneering work on a live internet news site has earned recognition from major national and international news outlets, including FORTUNE, TIME, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.

While in school he was a part of several student organizations and sports club, including starting the first eSports Association while at Tech which still operates today even after his departure.

Upon graduation in May 2015, Hayley moved to Dallas and began working in account service on the National Rifle Association account.
Hayley grew up around firearms and has considered shooting a favorite hobby since her father, a retired U.S. Secret Service agent, taught her how to shoot when she was five years old. In addition to shooting, she enjoys watching/playing sports, hunting and traveling.
Heather started at Ackerman McQueen as a proofreader in 1998. From there she entered account service as an account coordinator to an account executive and has since become a senior account executive.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Oklahoma.
Jason came to be a videographer when he began shooting concerts and music festivals. Jumping into doing camera for live broadcasts helped him learn all the basics of the dos and don’ts very quickly.
When reflecting on what sets AM apart, Jason says that it’s because of the array of creative employees at the agency. Every project is different from the previous with no cookie cutter style content. Everything has a reason for being the way it is in a production, not just because it is easy or the way its been done before.
Jason has a B.A. in Communications & Broadcasting from the University of Central Oklahoma.
Jeanne believes that a strong infrastructure supports the creative process and business goals. After years working in Account Service and Creative Management in both the Tulsa and Oklahoma City offices, Jeanne completed a masters degree in Information Science. Since then, she has created and built three departments within the agency that organize and preserve creative assets — Media Management (video), Asset Management (photography), and Corporate Archives (physical and digital assets of completed work). Her ultimate goal is to digitize and migrate creative materials into an environment where they are findable and preserved for the future. With 75+ years of materials and more created daily, there is plenty to do.
Jeanne has hired several information professionals at AM, to contribute organizational support to creative and business efforts. She designed the organization, digitization, staffing, and management for a large private rare book collection. She is on the Board of Advisors for the University of Oklahoma School of Library and Information Studies, and has twice been invited to sit on the ASIS&T jury to award the annual Thomson Reuters Doctoral Dissertation Proposal Scholarship. During the off hours, he spends his time with his wife and three kids — either playing or building (usually fixing) things.
Jesse graduated from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City with a BFA in Art with a Graphic Design emphasis.

Josh says AM is unique because of the innovation, integrity and values. Belief in our employees and the agency as a whole, coupled with the unwavering dedication of our executive management.
In 1998, Josh traveled to Athens, Greece, with the vice president of Brunswick to make a presentation to the International Olympic Committee. There were three sports under consideration for inclusion into the Olympics, one of which was bowling. The focus of the presentation was to convince the IOC that bowling was the most appropriate choice. The bid was ultimately unsuccessful, but it was a great experience.
After using excel to create tools that automated processes in past sales and tech positions, Josh studied web development to facility his creative ambitions on a grand scale. He enjoys the challenges that come with solving problems in creative ways, simplifying processes and staying abreast of new technologies.
His interests outside of work include reading (primarily in the subjects of Austrian economics, politics and philosophy/religion), spending time with his wife and daughter, and, occasionally, playing a video game or watching a show on Hulu.
Josh studied Broadcast Technology at Bates Technical College in Tacoma, WA and was one of the youngest members of The Society of Broadcast Engineers at age 17. He also studied backend development via Tealeaf Academy Online boot camp and is currently (2015) enrolled in an online front-end development course offered through Texas A&M University.
Joshua learned about AM while working as an editor for a local news station in OKC. His passion for editing and video production led him to pursue joining AM.
In his free time Josh enjoys watching movies and spending time with his family and friends. Josh is an aspiring writer and enjoys storytelling in all its formats.
Josh graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor's degree in journalism focusing on Broadcasting and News Gathering.
Joshua first got started in film and TV in school when he had access to a RED camera and rented it out to produce short films, TV pilots and music videos. He was a “RED TECH,” and when the industry coined a term for the department, he became a DIT. He now uses his background and expertise in video editing, visual effects and digital imaging for work on AM’s roster of clients.
As someone who is truly passionate about the industry, most of Joshua's interests outside of work revolve around film.
Joshua earned his BS in mass communications from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla.

Mark joined Ackerman McQueen as an account executive, and quickly rose to the position of account supervisor. His hands-on style of account management and total absorption in a client’s business creates a unique spirit of partnership that is so vital in the successful day-to-day running of an agency/client relationship.
After spending three years in Oklahoma City negotiating shopping aisles for the Homeland account and navigating Kerr-McGee’s oil pipelines, Mark moved to Tulsa armed with his bowling bag and shoes to spend ten successful years on the Brunswick bowling account.
As an avid bowler, Mark was able to provide a true target audience perspective as the agency busily turned the entire industry on its head, introducing the world’s first branded balls and so much more ... Rhino, Zone, Quantum, Attitude and Monster.
Now back in Oklahoma City, Mark has spent the past few years working on the Chesapeake Energy and National Rifle Associations accounts.
Mark has a B.A. from the University of Oklahoma.

Matt’s best memory of working at AM thus far was a spec spot for the Ford Mustang GT. The entire idea came from his and Ed Russell’s mind. They, and a few others, shot the spot on one Sunday and Matt had the experience of editing it.
Matt has always loved working with gadgets, cameras and electronics. He would always take things apart as a kid and try to put them back together and have them still work. Matt went to college for forensic science, but knew that wasn’t what he wanted to do all day, every day. He just decided, “Why not make my hobby what I get paid to do.”
Outside of work, Matt enjoys hunting, fishing, bicycle riding, OKC Thunder games, a good beer, new bars/pubs, movies/films, concerts, comedy shows, visiting his family or visits from his family, watching TV and his chocolate lab, Abby.

Michael believes the thing that makes Ackerman McQueen unique from other agencies is the ability and desire to push the limits and expand the broadcast technology we employ to relay the messages of our clients.
Michael’s best memory of working at AM so far has been the great feeling of dealing with and overcoming the challenges and obstacles of remote broadcasting for NRA News, such as the time he sent interviews to the NRA News studios in D.C. from Springfield, Illinois via a wireless card on a moving bus.
Michael feels that he was born to do the type of work he does now. As a kid he was always making home movies, editing audio cassettes and generally interested in all types of electronic media.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys mountain biking, rock climbing and outdoor sports.
Michael has a Bachelor of Arts from George Mason University.
Michael’s passion for working in art and design started with reading a comic book as a kid and realizing that he loved the idea of telling a story with pictures. He currently brings his expertise to the National Rifle Association account. His work has earned him honors including an Interactive Addy Award, and Best Oklahoma Film at the deadCENTER Film Festival.
His interests outside of work include film and cinematography and illustration over the years. Michael has lived in a variety of places, including Dallas, New York City and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Michael earned his degree from the Oklahoma Baptist University School of Visual Arts.
For the last 30 years, Michael has traveled extensively creating images for AM and its clients. He is an accomplished location and studio photographer, specializing in singular images that reveal the character, beauty and reality of the subject being photographed. Those subjects have included kids, artists, reel heroes and real heroes, automobiles, bowling balls, firearms, great works of art and the more beautiful refrigerator art. Cheese, chocolate, chefs, and industrial and tribal chiefs. There were spiders and snakes, horses, bears, and skunks. Some of these were four-legged. He has photographed hats, boots, hotels and hospital beds, real people and models, and locations mundane and exotic. But all were photographed with a desire to portray the dignity, grace and reality of the subject in a flattering, yet creative manner.
Michael has received numerous awards for his work, including a feature in the Photographis Annual for his work with Food and Wines from France.
Michael is a graduate of the Brooks Institute of Photography and is a member of ASMP.

Did you know that a powerful love of cartoons, comic books, monster movies and speed metal does not necessarily guarantee you’ll end up homeless and alone? Believe it or not, it can actually lead to a career in animation and compositing.
After years as a 2 D lead and animation director for various DFW studios, Scott finally made the jump to full-time freelancer. In late 2015 he was invited to join Ackerman McQueen’s Dallas office and fill their newly created Post Production position.
There’s more to life than compositing and animating, so Scott enjoys attending metal shows and working out with his beautiful and super-strong wife, Amie. Both are active with DFW Cocker Spaniel Rescue, so they usually have some strange foster dog staying with them and their 3 forever cockers, Dargo, Mojo Jojo and Willow, and the 3 creepy cats, Jonny, Hadji and Dolly.
Despite all these furry monsters, the house does not smell bad.

Sharyn is a member of Saint John’s welcoming committee for all single newcomers who join her church. Her most important personal accomplishments have been raising her children and taking care of her family.
Sharyn’s most memorable times at Ackerman McQueen are her first interview with Ray Ackerman and later being hired to be the voice of Ackerman McQueen. There’s one more event that Sharyn will never forget:
“Although I have many fond memories of all the wonderful people I have met because of working here, by far the most memorable of those would be the day Charlton Heston called for the first time and I almost fainted at the front desk. And on top of that, he introduced himself (like I wouldn't know that wonderful voice) ... I was so shocked I actually said to him, ‘Oh my God,’ and then added “I mean Moses!” He laughed that robust laugh, but I couldn’t because I could not breathe. Over the years he would call the switchboard and ask me to put him through to other numbers because he said he could always remember our phone number. To say the least I was very honored to be his operator.”

Stacey started at Ackerman McQueen as the executive assistant to the chief financial officer, leaving behind a long career as a gymnastics program director. The fast-paced atmosphere at Ackerman McQueen was quite a change from the gym, but after learning the ropes and accepting that she could no longer order someone to do 25 pushups for not paying attention, she fell in love with the world of advertising and the people she worked with — literally. She met her husband at Ackerman McQueen and she doesn’t plan on leaving her job, or her husband, well, ever.
Outside of the office Stacey enjoys spending time with her family and friends, riding bicycles, gardening, cooking, traveling, reading and making people laugh.
Stacey attended the University of Central Oklahoma and is the United Way Coordinator for our Oklahoma City office.

Tuck grew up around the agency and its offices in OKC, Tulsa and Dallas, and put in a few high school years working here in traffic and Golden Voice. His young adult years were spent wandering the Montana Rocky Mountains and working as a barista in one of downtown Minneapolis’ busiest coffee shops — where he met his wife. Together they decided to move to Oklahoma in 2009, and that's when his AM career began in earnest.
Since becoming a copywriter, conceptual thinker, director and self-styled “ideat” in 2010, Tuck has worked on campaigns for INTEGRIS, the OKC Thunder, WinStar World Casino and Resort, Riverwind Casino, Remington Park, Dolese, Taco Mayo, Lone Star Park, Oklahoma State Fair and many others. His award-winning work includes TV, radio, print, outdoor, websites, online ads, collateral, videos and even entire magazines.
When he’s not writing, Tuck enjoys woodworking, playing guitar, bass and piano, building things, fixing things he built, fixing them again, quitting bad habits, reading, exploring with his young son and writing autobiographical statements in third-person biographical form.
Tyler believes that the advertising industry truly chose him. Back when he was in high school, he noticed that the prior year’s football highlight video lacked style, story and character, so he took it upon himself to do it the next year, which then led to creating other videos for his school.

Tyler’s work has earned him awards from the BEA (Broadcast Education Association) Festival of Media Arts 2008 including 1st Place “Jari Askins” for Instructional Video — Producer/Editor and the Award of Excellence “In The Middle: Story of Nazi Prison Camps in Oklahoma” — Editor/Graphics.
On the weekends he enjoys playing kickball, making custom greeting cards, bowling and cooking.

Ray Ackerman joined the company that would become Ackerman McQueen in 1952. At the time, the George W. Knox advertising agency was comprised of a handful of people and was billing only about a quarter of a million dollars a year. Ray took what money he had and bought the company two years later. He spent the next four decades nurturing it, growing it and sometimes suffering with it in a tough industry. The company survived and flourished in those earlier years largely due to many early mornings that Ray spent alone on the road, selling small projects piece by piece.
Ackerman McQueen maintains a strong relationship with the Oklahoma City community, which was also greatly facilitated by Ray’s efforts. Over the years, he contributed to the agency as general chairman and president and to the community as a board member of the following: National Finals Rodeo, the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, the United Way, Allied Arts, Kirkpatrick Museum Center, St. Anthony Hospital Foundation, Better Business Bureau, Salvation Army, Science Museum of Oklahoma and Rotary Club 29 among many others. He was also on the Board of Trustees of OCU for more than 20 years.
In 1992, Ray retired from active leadership and served the company as Chairman Emeritus until his death in 2012.
Marvin McQueen came to Ackerman McQueen (then Ackerman Incorporated) after curiosity lead him through the front door in 1972. He had retired from a 36-year career with D’Arcy, McManus & Masius in New York and was taking a casual walk in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma when he came across the then small, local agency. He met with Ray Ackerman on a whim, and a partnership that would ultimately grow the small, local company to a nationally recognized advertising agency began. Marvin quickly convinced his son, Angus, to come aboard in 1973, and together they transformed our roster with clients such as the National Rifle Association, Nocona Boots, Food & Wines from France, Sheraton Hotels and Resistol Hats, among others. During his tenure, the agency was frequently listed as one of the largest and hottest agencies in the southwest.
Known for his hard-nosed wit and extensive account experience, including Coca-Cola, Anheuser-Busch, Missouri Pacific Railroads, General Tire and Daisy to name a few, Marvin was deeply involved in the industry, especially on the educational and outreach level. He was a member of the American Association of Advertising Agencies’ (AAAA) National Committee on Relations with Students and Educators, former president of the School of Journalism Student Alumni Association, past president of the University of Missouri Alumni Association, a member of the AAAA Committee on Government and Public Relations, on the Board of Directors for the Educational Foundation of the University of Wisconsin-Superior, a member of the Executive Committee of the Indian Nations Council for Boy Scouts, and he was involved with many local Oklahoma organizations as part of the community. In recognition of his accomplishments, Marvin’s alma mater, the University of Missouri, awarded him the “Honor Award for Distinguished Service in Journalism.”
Marvin McQueen continued his career at Ackerman McQueen until his death in 1984, but he left behind a legacy of brilliance and savvy that still guides the company toward the future.
