She chose advertising (after the misguided idea that she should be a high school science teacher), but was not expecting to wind up in media. She needed an internship to graduate and stumbled into the media department in 1996.
Most people probably don’t know that she grew up on a ranch/farm. Her favorite memories are hanging out with her father and riding in the tractor or working cattle. She says, “There’s nothing quite like looking over the Oklahoma landscape from the top of a round bale of hay with your best buddy who happens to be a blue healer pup.” The only bad part about living on the farm? Pulling rye and fixing fences.
